Mickey Guyton will perform the U.S. anthem prior to the big NFL’s game
The Super Bowl LVIhas become one of the most anticipated sporting events of 2022.
All eyes are on the artists who will perform the halftime show, as well as the rest of the singers who will join the show.
Mickey Guyton will perform the U.S. anthem prior to the big NFL game, while Jhené Aiko will sing “America the Beautiful“.
Guyton‘s performance will take place on the 13th at SoFi Stadium prior to the championship game and halftime show. The show will be followed by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.
Actress Sandra Mae Frank will perform the national anthem and “America the Beautiful” in American Sign Language. Also, DJ Zedd will liven up the atmosphere with music during the players’ pregame warm-ups.
Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation is executive producing the halftime show for the third consecutive year. Jesse Collins returns as executive producer.
Mickey Guyton made history as the first African-American woman to be nominated for a Grammy in a country category and as the first solo artist to host the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM). She is a four-time Grammy nominee and is famous for the hit song “Black Like Me.”
Aiko, a six-time Grammy nominee, is one of R&B’s top stars and has multiple platinum certifications for songs such as “Sativa,” “While We’re Young” and “The Worst.”
