Punjab Board has activated the link to check the Class 12th results online on the official portal. Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared the 10+2 examination results and makes history as it records the highest-ever overall pass percentage of 96.96% in the Class 12 results announced on Tuesday. Arshdeep Kaur, a student of Teja Singh Savtantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Simlapuri Ludhiana has topped in the state by scoring 99.40% marks, in the class 12th results declared Tuesday. Arshpreet Kaur of Government Senior Secondary School Bachhoana in Mansa has stood second and Kulvinder Kaur of Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Jaittu Faridkot stood third. PSEB Punjab Board Class 10th Result next week by Wednesday: Report
Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will not release its Class 10th result this week. Secretary Controller Examinations PSEB Janak Raj Mehrok said that Class 10th results are being compiled and will be declared next week. No result declaration today or within this week, he cleared. Malerkotla has scored 97.59% and is placed 9th in the district-wise merit list of the state. Chairman of the Board, Yograj Sharma said, “This time we were able to conduct the exams and the students have bettered their previous results. Out of total 3,01,700 students appeared, 2,92,530 students, (96.96%) passed the board examinations this year. Whereas, last year the pass percentage was 96.48%, betters this time by 0.48%.

The statistics of the PSEB results of Punjab Board Class 12th show that the government school students have fared far better than the private schools. The pass percentage of government schools this year is 97.43% which was 98.05% last year marginally dropping by 2.38 % this year. The pass percentage of associated schools is 93.30% which was 93.25% last year, affiliated schools scored 96.23% which was 93.31% last year and the Aided schools is 96.86% which was 96.71% last year.

Though, the Government Schools have again proved their mettle by sustaining glory for the consecutive third year in the + 2 PSEB examination results declared, said the PSEB Chairman Yograj Sharma. It seems that the motivational drive launched to convert government schools into “Smart Schools” in infrastructural facilities as well as qualitative improvement in the teaching-learning process and the tremendous efforts put in by the teachers under the department’s “Mission Cent Percent”, has virtually outsmarted the private schools in the state, he said.

The overall pass percentage of the government schools have dropped marginally as compared to the last year. This year government school pass percentage is 97.43% which was 98.05% last year.
